Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

Because Brooklyn and the City of New York supports the development of the Museum, when it was built and when there are contruction projects, the projects are managed through the city's Parks Department. This sub series documents the construction of the Brooklyn Museum between 1895 and 1907, as well as other necessary construction projects. Types of documents include: proposals, newspaper clippings, photographs, and correspondence.

BIAS created several large Brooklyn cultural institutions including: Cold Spring Biological Laboratory, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Acadmey of Music.
