Scope and Contents
The NEA, which provides funding to both arts organizations and artists, was facing massive funding cuts. Additionally, the NEA's funding structure was modified by Congress to include terminology related to the NEA not funding "obscene" art. These folders include newspaper clippings, postcard protest projects, protest materials and general files on the effect on the art world and the Brooklyn Museum.
