Our historical materials in particular are presented in their original and unaltered forms for research and study, which allows us to also confront our legacy of colonization and inform our understanding today. This subseries documents research, programming, reports, and initiatives around accesibility within the Brooklyn Museum from 1967-2014. It includes information on the Touch collection, which was a small collection of deaccessioned collection objects, purchased objects, and examples of various materials that could all be touched by visitors for deeper exploration.
