The Summer Teacher Institute (STI) has a history at the Brooklyn Museum that dates back to 1916. This year saw the first official training for local teachers in art, visual literacy, and how to utilize the Museum and its collections in the classroom. In 1990, the program was revitalized. Artists, Museum educators, scholars, and teachers particpated in the thematic workshops.
