Biographical / Historical
Between 1887 and 1888 the Linden Camera Club of Brooklyn became the Department of Photography with an intital 26 members. (Brooklyn Institute Yearbook, 1888-1889, page 47.) The department of photography was the longest existing department of BIAS, from 1888-1943. They offered members access to darkrooms and annual exhibitions.
