Abstract
The Community Gallery records document the administrative and exhibition activities of the gallery from its founding in 1968 until its closure in early 1986. In 1967 members of the artist group FICE demanded that the Brooklyn Museum exhibit from the local community and display artwork created by BIPOC artists.
