Abstract The Community Gallery records document the administrative and exhibition activities of the gallery from its founding in 1968 until its closure in early 1986. In 1967 members of the artist group FICE demanded that the Brooklyn Museum exhibit from the local community and display artwork created by BIPOC artists. Abstract

The Brooklyn Museum Publications Collection is an artificial collections created by the archivists of the Brooklyn Museum to separate and identify Brooklyn Museum publications. Currently, the collection holds newsletters, bulletins, calendars of events, and other small Museum publications. It will expand in the future to contain exhibit catalogs, and other books published by the Museum. This collection is of interest for exhibition research, provenance research, and programming research.

The Visitor Comment Book collection largely contains volumes of visitor comments on exhibitions and permanent gallery installations from 1977 to 2013. The collection also contains print outs of online comments from 2001 to 2013.
