Scope and Contents
Due to the exhibits Two Centuries of Black American Art and Africa in Antiquity, the Brooklyn Museum explored the need to create and share resources for the community on Black artists and arts. This initial meeting had 4 presentations, including "The Community and the Brooklyn Museum" by Hon. Howard Golden, Brooklyn Borough President; and an introductry presentation by David Driskell, curator of Two Centuries of American Art.
