In 1975, the Museum began participating the Cultural Voucher Program. The grant program provided funds to smaller cultural institutions that could be spent at larger cultural institutions. This provided needed funding and collaboration. The Museum worked with schools, day cares, local community organizations, and small artist organizations in a variety of ways. As an example, the Museum helped to design and print an exhibit catalog for Where We At, a group of Black women artists.
