This brochure details the activities of the Community Programs Department which was led by Sophie Williams Johnson. Includes a photograph of Where We At, a collective of Black women artists. According to the 1941 document: "The facilities...are available to institutions, organized groups, and repsonsible individuals...to serve the educational needs of Brooklyn. Slides, plates, portfolios, large reproductions, silent and sound 16mm films, exhibitions of three dimensional objects, and phonograph records are among the articles that may be borrowed." In 1954 the Lending room was located on the first floor in the rear of the building.
