Scope and Contents
Brooklyn Museum Audio/Visual Collection is an artificial collection composed of A/V materials from all departments of the Brooklyn Museum spanning 1950-2010. Largely, the collection documents public programs, educational tours, audio guides, curatorial interviews, and press relating to the Brooklyn Museum.
The collection has been arranged into 7 topical series: Oral histories with staff members; Exhibition programming and interviews; Public Programming and Education Events; Audio Tours; Press and Marketing; Administrative; and Conservation.

Conditions Governing Access
The physical tapes and reels are restricted from use in order to prevent deteriorization or breakage. It is possible for researchers to request for audio cassette tapes to be digitized - but the time frame for digitization could take up to 3 months.
